Rubber Tyre (Tire) Mark Removal at a Chemical Manufacturing Plant

Global Advantech has developed its next generation rubber deposit and tyre mark remover for warehouse, distribution centre and manufacturing unit floors. This product was developed to satisfy the requirements of major food, pharmaceutical, electronics, aerospace and distribution companies, for a rapid acting, non-hazardous product which enables them to remove unsightly, unhygienic and potentially hazardous rubber deposits from their floors left by forklift trucks.

Contract agrochemical manufacturing plant had its floors (20,000m2) surfaced with light grey epoxy coatings 12 months ago to maintain cleanliness. After 12 months, the entire production and warehouse areas were covered with heavy black rubber deposits from fork lift trucks.

Heavy Duty Rubber Deposit Remover CM700 was applied with a mop across a floor area coated with a badly damaged red epoxy surface and covered in places with rubber tyre deposits more than 1 mm thick, directly in front of two drum ovens. The CM700 was left for 5 minutes and then removed using a scrubber-drier machine charged with a 2% solution of Industrial Hard Surface Cleaner CM712.


Heavy Duty Rubber Deposit Remover CM700 was applied with a mop across a production floor area coated with a marked, light grey epoxy surface and covered in places with rubber tyre deposits up to 1 mm thick. The CM700 was left for 5 minutes and then removed using a scrubber-drier machine charged with a 2% solution of Industrial Hard Surface Cleaner CM712.





Successful removal of rubber deposits and re-instatement floors to a clean condition without using disruptive and expensive techniques, e.g. shot-blasting or diamond grinding floors generating large quantities of dust which would have contaminated manufacturing processes.

Rubber Tyre (Tire) Mark Removal at a Major Non-Food Retail Distribution Centre


Global Advantech’s next generation of rubber deposit and tyre (tire) mark remover is used for warehouse, distribution centre and manufacturing unit floors. This non-hazardous product is now used by major food, pharmaceutical, electronics, aerospace and distribution companies, since it rapidly removes unsightly and unhygienic rubber deposits from floors and safety markings.

A major non-food and retailer in the UK had been searching for a product to remove unsightly and unhygienic rubber tyre deposits left by high volumes of forklift truck traffic in its distribution centres to improve the cleanliness. To comply with safety legislation the company had to either clean or repaint all the safety marking on the floor.

The two photographs below show the effectiveness of Heavy Duty Rubber Deposit Remover CM700 in cleaning away rubber tyre marks from a smooth concrete floor at one of the retailer’s distribution centres (in the North West). The CM700 was applied at a rate of 1 part of product in 5 parts of water to the rubber tyre marks and left for 5 minutes before being removed with scrubber-drier machine.







The two photographs show the effectiveness of Heavy Duty Rubber Deposit Remover CM700 in cleaning away rubber tyre marks from safety markings at the same distribution centre.




As before, the CM700 was applied diluted at a rate of 1 part of product in 5 parts of water to the rubber tyre marks and left for 5 minutes before being removed with scrubber-drier machine.

It can be seen clearly from the second photograph that the line markings were not damaged by the application of the product

Removal of rubber tyre (tire) marks from epoxy and polyurethane coated floors and from safety markings

  1. Sweep area of floor to be cleaned to remove dust and other debris.
  2. Ultra-Green Heavy Duty Rubber Deposit Remover CM700 may be used neat for very heavy rubber deposits and diluted with up to 4 parts of water to 1 part of product.
  3. Apply product with suitable sprayer or mop and bucket.
  4. Leave for a minimum of 5 minutes.
  5. Fit a cleaning machine (scrubber-drier that has a system to apply pressure onto brushes/pads) with stiff pads.
  6. Fill the tank of the cleaning machine with Industrial Hard Surface Cleaner CM712 diluted at a rate of 1 part to 50 parts of water.
  7. Drive at slow walking pace over the treated area with the rear liquid collector raised and pick up vacuum turned off, to apply cleaning solution and scrub at maximum pressure.
  8. Drive at slow walking pace over the treated area with the rear liquid collector lowered and pick up vacuum turned on.
  9. Allow the floor to dry.
  10. The used cleaning solution from the collection tank of the machine must be treated in a sewage treatment system.
  11. To restore a high gloss apply either High Solids Polymer Seal-Polish CM721 using a mop or spray, or Hard Gloss CM730 using a brush, roller or spray, once the floor is dry.
  12. Allow products to dry completely before using the floor.

Removal of rubber tyre marks from concrete floors and porous surfaces


  1. Sweep area of floor to be cleaned to remove dust and other debris.

  5. Fit a cleaning machine (scrubber-drier that has a system to apply pressure onto brushes/pads) with very stiff brushes for rough concrete surfaces and stiff brushes/pads for smooth concrete surfaces.
  6. Fill the tank of the cleaning machine with Industrial Hard Surface Cleaner CM712 diluted at a rate of 1 part to 50 parts of water.
  7. Drive at slow walking pace over the treated area with the rear liquid collector raised and pick up vacuum turned off, to apply cleaning solution and scrub at maximum pressure.
  8. Drive at slow walking pace over the treated area with the rear liquid collector lowered and pick up vacuum turned on.
  9. Allow the floor to dry.
  10. The used cleaning solution from the collection tank of the machine must be treated in a sewage treatment system.
  11. Smooth concrete floors may be sealed with Hard Gloss CM730 using a brush, roller or spray, once the floor is dry.
